every answer on here is so far incorrect. you are swabbed with a tiny cotton bood like stick just inside your japs eye, the sample is then transferred to a slide to check it and a course of tablets is the end result. Not the school like umbrella fiction. they are winding you up

we called it hockey stick in the army medics and it hurt but its not used now as was in my time when guys came in with Syphilis we gave them 10 cc of Bismuth which was arsenic mixture and that is in the past now!!Army VD clinics were harsh as they would be with Scabies we painted them with a mixture of Benzle Benzoate and it stung as if you were sat on a fire especially around the genitals and second day another painting all over a bath and out 48 hours only that was the army rule back on duty Today i understand all the VD clinics use drugs to clear up all venereals

perhaps they did a few decades ago, but science has evolved thankfully. a swab is usually taken from the tip of the penis using a swab smaller than a cotton bud. this tests for gonorrhoea. a urine sample is needed to test for chlamydia. some clinics have the machinery and lab equipment to test for both infections on a urine sample. ask the clinic staff for more info

Yes it is true and no doubt momentarily painful. And they do a similar thing to women - stick a little thing up the urethra. Its worth it though - you either get the all clear or get drugs to treat the problem. Use condoms everyone!
