is he overweight? that causes sleep apnea (aka bad snoring) and well, right now my husband sleeps in my sons room and the boys sleep with me to get away from the snoring.

Try sending him to a sleep clinic. He may have sleep apnea. They can give him a machine that will pump air into his nose at night.

your husband may have sleep apnea. he needs a sleep study done. he may need a bipap machine. this forces air into his mouth and nose, forcing the passages open (the closure is what causes the snoring sound)
