Spinach Cheese Ball
Submitted by: SARAHB2
Rated: 5 out of 5 by 20 members Prep Time: 20 Minutes
Ready In: 20 Minutes
Yields: 8 servings
"This recipe is a take off of the popular spinach dip, however in a different form. This is a great addition to your holiday open house table."
INGREDIENTS:
1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped
spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese,
softened
1 (4 ounce) can water chestnuts, drained
and chopped 1 (.4 ounce) packet dry vegetable soup
mix
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 cup finely shredded Cheddar cheese
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
DIRECTIONS:
1. In a large bowl, mix together the spinach, cream cheese, water chestnuts, vegetable soup mix, mayonnaise and Cheddar cheese until well blended. Form into a ball, and roll in chopped walnuts. If the mixture is too soft to form a ball, refrigerate for about 30 minutes to set. Wrap the cheese ball in plastic wrap, and refrigerate overnight to blend the flavors before serving with your favorite crackers.

This is a hard one to answer as it all depends on your budget and culinary skills and how much time you want to put into this?
A standard one that always goes over good at my parties is plain tortilla (round shaped) chips, covered with a mixed blend of shredded cheeses (or jarred cheese sauce), then top with a taco type of sauce, pop in microwave for about 2 minutes to melt cheese. Just a suggestion~ Good Luck~

How about some Peanut Butter Fudge?
1 small jar of peanut butter
1 jar vanilla frosting
Mix in large bowl, microwave for 5 minutes, stir, spread evenly in a shallow casserole dish, let cool completely, cut and serve.

don't forget about the faithful crockpot!! you can always throw a bag of frozen meatballs in with a can of sauce and some rolls if you like them as a sandwich (or go the swedish route) but it will stay warm all day and it would be "manly" enough for the men too!
