last July I was hospitalized and had Levaquin IV for5 days. When I was released, I could hardly walk, my feet hurt so bad. Also my hands. Then I took it, one a day, orally, for 7 more days. By the 3rd or 4th day, the pain, especially in my feet was so bad, I couldn't walk up or down the stairs. Also, I has insomnia. It has taken me this long for my feet to get to where they don't always hurt, but sometimes, I still get pain. Have you gone on any of the sites for Leviquin? There are dozens. I thought I was crazy, because the doctors wouldn't say it was the Leviquin, for sure, because they don't know. They need to be more educated about the serious side-effects of this med before they prescribe it. I am now very educated, and will never take it again. Check out some of the sites, very interesting. Let me know how you do.

I had on no account earlier than had a response to an antibiotic, however Levaquin close to killed me. Developed extreme tachycardia, middle rhythm abnormalities, extreme high blood pressure (250/one hundred forty) and of path ended up within the ER. Quinolones (the category of drug that Cipro and Levaquin belong to ) has prompted many issues for plenty of individuals, a few of them everlasting. Most of the issues contain tendon/ nerve harm. I might most likely get on an additional antibiotic. Good success.

Wow...that is a side effect but not very common...I guess you were one of the unlucky ones, I work in a pharmacy and one of our patients had the same side effect which my pharmacist reported to the manufacturer.
