Sounds like a bad cold. The symptoms don't point to anything too serious. I know it feels bad, but it happens. Chest pains are probably nothing. When your sick, your body is sore, and your muscles in your chest area could just be hurting. I wouldn't doubt if your chest was congested too. Your best bet would to get some Mucinex D to clear up your nose and chest congestion. Take some Ibuprofin for the fever and general pains. Also, take some Vitamin C tablets to boost your immune system. You can also get some "Zicam Cold Remedy", which will help your symptoms and fight your cold. It's good your going to a doc though, they can listen to your chest. If you left this go long enough, or if it just happend, you could have developed walking pnuemonia. No worries either way. Take care of yourself though. If let go it could develop into something bad.

You'll be ok...but it sounds like bronchitis or pneumonia. I've had both--bronchitis about 5 times and pneumonia twice. It can take a while to get over. Get a lot of sleep and fluids. Don't be scared. I coughed so hard I peed in my pants. I had uncontrollable coughing fits that made me feel like I was choking. It will pass....but it may takes weeks. I coughed from the pneumonia for months. Especially at night. Try nyquil for the night time cough. Also robitussin DM.

Feel better!!

p.s. Once you've had bronchitis or pneumonia you are susceptible. So get a flu shot every year.

Could be a lot of things, but none of them are likely to kill you unless you REALLY neglect it. It could be bronchitis, which is when your cold/sore throat goes a little lower into the airways in your lungs. It could also be pneumonia, which is when the infection goes into the lung tissue itself. Or it could just be that coughing so much and so hard is making the muscles in your chest ache. These are all fairly easily treated, so take whatever your doctor gives you and you should be fine.

Don't worry hun, it is just a cold. Some are more severe than others and this year seems to be a lot worse. Going to the doctor will ease your mind. I have had a couple of colds this year one with the same symptoms you described. Luckley it only last 2 days 3 at tops. So bear down drink lots of fluids and get some rest! Good luck

I'd say it's more like he's a little stressed out, and now that it's a big deal that makes it worse. It's only been a couple of times! I'd say don't worry about it, and if he doesn't he doesn't - don't even ASK him! You'll turn the purpose of sex from having a good time into a stressful problem-solving event. If the problem PERSISTS - say, for a month - THEN it's doctor time. In the meantime, the last thing he needs is you adding to the problem by putting pressure on him.

Yes your mother is right. You should seek a doctor sounds like you have some sort of infection and you need antibiotics. When you get to the stage you are in nothing over the counter works.Your chest hurting could be congestion.Sounds like the flu.

You're probably just stuffed up. It's happened to me and it's actually fun because after you have this really raspy voice and then everybody thinks your sick. Maybe you have the croup or a grown up version, depending on your age. The doctor will just look down your throat with that light thingy and talk to you about your symptoms and then she'll prescribe meds. Feel bettah!

I don't know your age but stop worrying. Chances are you have a "bug" that can easily be treated. Going to the doctor is the right and smart thing to do. Take it easy and go about getting better so you can enjoy the holidays. Signed: old grandpa of 13 and retired respiratory therapist.

you've got a lot of build up in your lungs i'm assuming when you cough you're coughin all that phlegm and ............well........snot....it COULd be pnemonia since the symptons you described almost match that. It's not that bad though you'll be on your back in bed for a few days but a lot of rest a lot of fluids like water and juices and you'll be out........doin whatever it was ya did before oyu got sick
