spaghetti, a salad, french bread and make chocolate pudding. Serve the chocolate pudding with strawberries to the size. Use the strawberries as the spoon. You could even feed them to her.

Great idea and is always a winner. Some will argue that you should do something more complicated but no....... your dinner will be ready and it is the company and conversation that counts. A big salad served at the table in a big bowl.... think the mixed greens in a bag with the dressings sold next to it say Balsalmic vinaigrette. Garlic bread fom the freezer. The slices are best and you can sprinkle some parmesan on them. Dessert? Easy and always a hit even when you have serious gourmets about is.....

-slice some strawberries and sprinkle with sugar. Put them in the fridge and after a few hours they will make their own syrup.

-Buy a tube of Pillsbury Flaky Buttermilk biscuits and make them befor dinner

-when ready for dessert half the biscuits, top with the starwberries and then some whip cream.

Always a winner because after a spaghetti dinner simple is always best. Another thing is make the sauce ahead of time if possible. It is ten times better after it sits in the fridge overnight.

You could go for the Honeymooners Salad (it's easy)
Lettuce alone with No Dressing
(JUST KIDDING)

Seriously though,

You made a really nice choice. Get a nice bottle of Chianti (make sure it has the black cockeral on the neck band). Or a bottle of Lemoncello (if it's a little to potent, delute it with a bit of raspberry selzter.

Caesar Salad (easy enough, hearts of Romaine lettuce, parmesan, a squeeze of lemon and a good bottled dressing. Cardini makes a nice Caesar dressing.

Brushetta, Thick Italian bread (coat with a little olive oil and garlic if you dare) pop them in the oven at 350F until crispy. Top with chopped plum tomato, fresh basil and then sprinkled with parmesan.

Strawberries drizzled with melted chocolate and topped with whipped cream is the perfect ending.

ENJOY!

Spaghetti is great! Here is any easy and awesome dessert idea. Get strawberries, sour cream and brown sugar. Dip the strawberrries in the sour cream and then dip in brown sugar from bowls of them on the table. Tastes great and very romantic.

If a girl can't handle a spaghetti noodle and makes a mess, do you really want her to handle your noodle? I say go for a nice salad, with a baslamic vinagrette, no ranch dressing. Fruit and nuts also compliment salads. Don't forget shredded parmesan cheese on the spaghetti, not out of a can, and I think a nice Chianti goes the best with spaghetti. For dessert, take two brown pears, peel them, and cut them in half long-ways. Soak them in a honey and bourbon mixture for about 30 mins. Bake at 375 untill super tender. Serve hot with coffee and whipped cream. Enjoy!

You ought not choose anything that is messy, sloppy unless you've known each other for a time long enough to feel really comfortable with each other and can laugh together if the other one slops on themself. The best answer is to fix her favorite foods. If you're an attentive boyfriend, you should know what those are. If you're not attentive, as a side issue, you need to learn how to be more attentive, but back to the point, casually find out what her favorite foods are. If she is a good, true girlfriend, she will appreciate the attempt you made, not the actual foods themselves.

Spaghetti is easy to make but tastes good...I say go for it and kudos to you for cooking for your lady!

Don't forget the cheesy garlic bread :o) I know you want to kiss and everyone always says garlic gives you bad breath....but I LOVE garlic and the smell of it, a lot of people do.

A salad is also a good starter and I love the chocolate straberries ideas for dessert. If you want to save time, some bakeries/pastry shops do these for you in advance....or just buy a nice cheesecake...or tiramisu.

Have fun!

I've got very lucky when I made the authentical spaghetti bolognese

1.Olive oil +onions
2. minced meat (porc and veal, not too fat)

when the meat is browned, add a hughe quantity of tomato paste, and the same quantity of cheap white wine, add salt

3. leave it on a low fire for at least 2hours! (like a volcano)

Do not add other stuff!!!

The secret is the quantity of wine and especially the long cooking time

Dessert could be:

Take some peaches, boil them in white wine with lots of sugar, add vanilla (few) cinnamon and small quantity of orange peel. Let it cook for 20 min.

Serve them with some cream or ice cream

good luck

I think spaghetti is awesome dude, that is a great romantic dinner... Those that say "Oh! No it's to sloppy" just ignore them, they don't know what they talking about. Just have fun with your girlfriend, and add bread, salad, and candle lights and you're good to go.
