My husband took Methotrexate for his Rheumatoid Arthritis. The only thing he HAD to do was have regular blood work to monitor his liver. He didn't have any side effects or anything negative. It worked pretty well for him. Good luck to you!

Methotrexate is a cytotoxic drug. It can depress the bone marrow. Get your blood count done regularly. It can be toxic to the liver and pancreas. Get your liver function tests (liver enzymes) checked every few months.
