Here in Triniad it is a tradition to have tins of Danish cookies every year for Christmas. I was just wondering if this is the same anywhere else and why it is this way

We also have danish butter cookies and other types of cookies at christmas in my home. I live in the unites states. Merry christmas..

Oh yes, I send tins of cookies to family and friends every year. Usually filled with German cookies of various types (I turn ethnic once a year). I live in western New York.

Well, I dunno how much of a tradition it is, but I always see the blue Danish cookie tins all over the place in stores this time of year.

Not in Texas, Louisiana, or Mississippi in the USA.... we do make sugar cookies, sometimes ornately decorated.
