This is one of the best peach cobblers you will ever taste!

Ingredients
Cobbler filling:
4 cups Peeled and sliced fresh peaches (blanch in boiling water for 30 seconds to remove the skins)
3/4 cup Brown sugar
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 tablespoon Flour
Cobbler crust:
1 cup Flour
1 teaspoon Baking powder
1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
3 tablespoons Brown sugar
4 tablespoons Unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
2/3 cup Buttermilk

Preparation
Generously butter a 1 1/2-quart shallow baking dish. Place the sliced peaches in the dish and sprinkle with brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and flour. Mix gently and spread evenly again. Bake for 10 minutes.

Meanwhile combine all dry ingredients for cobbler crust in a bowl. Cut in the butter with a pastry cutter or your fingers, to make the texture like coarse crumbs. Add buttermilk and stir to form a soft dough.

Remove fruit from oven and drop rounded spoonfuls of dough on top. Sprinkle with last tablespoon of brown sugar and return to oven. Bake until fruit is bubbly and crust topping is golden brown, about 20 minutes. Serve warm with whipped cream. ( or ice cream :)
If you try it I hope you like it!

Yummy recipe and easy too:

2 large Cans peaches
1 pkg butter pecan or yellow or white cake mix
2 cups coconut
2 cups chopped pecans or walnuts
1 stick melted butter

place peaches in baking pan pour dry cake mix on top, pour coconut and pecans on top, drizzle butter on top, bake at preheated 375 degree oven for 30-45 minutes or until top is golden brown and bubbling. If you dont like coconut or walnuts, they can be omitted. Enjoy, this is a big hit recipe!!

Advice:

Seek an older woman, with experience. My grandmothers (both 90+, African American women, very strong) make the BEST! Also, you can go on the food networks website and look up their recipes. I would stick to Paula's home cooking. She's southern and her food is good!

Good luck and Merry Christmas

There are so many recipes out there...Taste of Home, Martha Stewart...or you can ask Morgan Freeman if he's got one in his new celebrity cook book. Or Tyler Perry! Or Whoopie or Oprah. Get it?
