I have high blood pressure and I can tell you, it can vary a lot. It depends on many things like:

·The time of the day. If I take it in the morning, close to medicine it may be lower than at the end of the day.

·The diet. With lots of fruits and vegetables it is lower. Salt, magnesium, etc.

·The blood pressure monitor. If it is one of those electronics it may vary a lot with the position of the body and arm. Very inaccurate.

·With exercise. It rises at the moment of doing it, but after a month or so of practicing it, your pressure drops 5-10 points.

·Omega 3 lowers depending of the doses. See http://www.omega-3-fish-oil-wonders.com/fish-oil-and-high-blood-pressure.html. It also improves mood and lowers possibility to get heart disease.

·Sleep, stress, etc

Even with all these variables your blood pressure should have a pattern, write it down.

Hope this helps,

The 'normal ranges' given by the previous responder are BP readings for people at rest. Your BP will be significantly higher during and immediately after exercise, and will generally be higher when you are sick or in pain from an injury. All of these are also normal conditions.

When blood pressure is high, blood circulates more rapidly, allowing a larger amount of oxygen to get to organs and muscles that need it.

Your bp constantly changes depending activity, stress, emotions, and many other outside factors. As long as your bp is within normal ranges you are fine!

Normal values: 60-89/110-140

Yes, it is normal. Your blood pressure depends of your mood, physical activity, food, weather etc. and it changes during the day, but not too much. If you worry about it - visit your doctor.
