he has tetralogy of fallot which consists of 4 major defects in his heart is there any online support groups i can log onto for parents going through this to have someone to talk to that understands the heart ache day by day

There's one group called Children's Heart Group at Pennstate University Hospital which offers help to both parents and the child undergoing surgery. I am not sure where your child's going to have surgery but I'm pretty sure you can ask the staff for their own support group. Or you can go to American Heart association website and start from there. Im a nurse who has handled pediatric heart surgery cases and although I am not their parent, I feel the agony of both the child and the parents. May God be with your family.

i don't know anything about the disease nor any support group. But miles away from you, I share your pain. Though sometimes, God doesnt listen to my prayers, I will pray for your kid's operation's success. That he may lead a good life. Also that you may be strong in the coming days as your kid needs your support.

I personally know what you are going through, my son was born with HLHS(hypoplastic left heart syndrome) in 1994. He had to have 4 open heart surgeries and had many complications. He is now 12 years old and doing very well.
