I have a really annoying persistant cough which has been linger-ing for about six months. I have tried everything from Salbutamol inhalers to antibiotics. It's really getting me down. Pleases help me.

Go to the doctor. If you already have and this is not resolved, seek a new Dr. and RIGHT AWAY! Preferably a pulmonologist or an Internal Medicine Dr.

Ask your doctor first, but Mucinex tablets will release the congestion in your chest which is causing the coughing. Also, if you are taking any blood pressure meds, there are some that will cause you to cough.
Products containing Guaifenesin will help with this as well (That is what Mucinex is).
Since you appear to be using prescription inhalers, your doctor may need to know that you are experiencing this persistent cough.
Antibiotics are used for the infection that you previously had that were prescribed by your doctor. You need to go back to your doctor for a follow-up exam.

Best wishes to you. I know it does get you down, you could be experiencing an allergy to something as well. My cousin developed a sudden cough and had to have everything in her house checked; finally, found out it was the dog she was allergic to, but she did not wish to get rid of the dog, so now takes medication constantly.

Are you still doing inhalers or bronchial meds?

Albuterol gave me a cough, the 5 am and 3 PM coughing spells
went away after I stopped using albuterol

Just a difference experience

I would go to the doctors. I have asthma and if I have a cough longer than two weeks I have to go and see the doctor. He/She will examine you and give you medicine to target whatever it is that is causing the cough. Seeing as the weather is getting colder and it's the flu season I would suggest that you go and see the doctor as soon as possible as these conditions will only make it worse.

I gather you're not smoking, if so stop immediately. Otherwise Buckley's does the trick for me, I take a spoon and hold my nose closed and swallow. Try to take extra Vitamin C and a Zinc Tablet available at the drug store.

Go to the doctors, my sister was like that once it turned out that she actually had tonsillitis. I also suggest to avoid eating too much deep fried food. Drink loads of water too, that helps.

Have you had an Xray done? Do you have pneumonia, which can linger for that long?

Get to a specialist and get diagnosed properly.

On a daily basis try drinking plenty water, taking a multi-vitamin & mineral tablet, echinea, and natural liquorice. I hope this helps, it worked for me.

Find a cough mixture containing dextromathorphan...it kills the cough reflex.
