Yes, even living in a real old apartment, before learning about cleaning it, has given me stuffed up sinuses.

Our nose stuffs up to keep things, we should not breath in, out.
Get some fresh air and see if your cold goes away.

If it doesn't, you've got a cold.

primarily because the rhinoviruses that cause colds are taken in through the mucousa of the nasal passages. The irritation causes the tissues in the nose to swell, causing that stuffyness.

you tend to get sick easier when it is cold because the air is dryer so you lose protection from the mucous, and the infection causes you to be congested

I believe the membranes in there swell up.
