If you have type 1 diabetes, you will always be insulin dependent. Type 1 is autoimmune. It is also called juvenile diabetes.

If you have type 2 or adult onset, you can watch your dietary exchanges and exercise.

Insulin dependent diabetes is type 1.

You question cannot be answered without knowing what type of diabetes you have.

I am not sure what you are asking. Are you asking about an islet transplant? If you are a Type 1 diabetic, you can't become "non-insulin dependent" without one. They often fail, even if done by the best medical centres. It's not a procedure you can just do on your kitchen table.

This is currently the only treatment for Type 1 diabetes available that can get you off insulin injections in some cases, usually for a short period of time until the transplant fails.

Please clarify your question, and maybe I can help you more.

Are you saying that YOU are "non-insulin dependant" and want to treat yourself without medical care????
