How did you give up on meat, Cold turkey or gradually. Don't you miss spare-ribs. Do you know of a good book for beginners?

I just gave up meat "cold turkey". If you don't want to eat meat, then it is something you probably aren't going to miss. There are a lot of awesome vegetarian cookbooks out there--find one that suits your tastes, and start experimenting. Before long, you won't even be able to remember eating meat.

Cold turkey! But make sure you watch your proteins and vitamins. At first, your protein is the most important. Try some MorningStar Farms products from your local grocery. (they normally put them in the breakfast section...go figure! The buffalo wings are awesome!) Peta.org is a good website for meal ideas, and so is vegetariantimes.com...this is also a great magazine!
