What is the difference betweet coronary disease and heart disease?or are they the same?

Heart Disease is a general term that could include Coronary Artery Disease, CAD is blockages in the arteries feeding the heart. But there are also many other problems that fall under Heart Disease, Valve Stenosis/Regurgitation, Congestive Heart Failure, Ventricular Hypertrophy, Pulmonary Hypertension, Congenital Defects, ect.

The two are related, but also different. If you speak in general terms then coronary and heart disease are the same. If you are talking about coronary disease, then alot of people refer to the plague build up in the coronary arteries, which in itself is not bad, but can lead to heart disease or heart problems if not corrected. Plague build up can lead to a variety of heart conditions, like angina. Heart disease is usually associated with some heart damage or it could be something that is affecting the heart, like carditis which is a disease of the heart but very curable.

They are pretty much the same in that they both refer to the heart. It depends on what preceeds or comes after the word as to what they are referring to such a cornary artery disease would be referring to the arteries of the heart.
