i am HIV negative...what should my answer be for the following question...

"Have you ever been Diagnosed for AIDS or ARC?"

shouldnt it be NO because i donot have HIV in the first place...how can i be diagnosed for it?

or is that the fact that i took the test makes the answer YES???
i am confused...also will answering YES cause my application to be declined...just because i took the test?

Your answer would be no. Even though you may have been tested for AIDS, you were not diagnosed with it. I think the wording with the "for" part is throwing you off. It should read: "have you ever been diagnosed WITH AIDS or ARC?"

They are just asking if you have been diagnosed with AIDS, not whether you have been tested or not. Though you really wouldn't know you had it unless you were tested, that's not what they're asking.

If you are HIV Negative you should answer no, just because you took a test doesn't mean your possitive it just means your responsable.

The answer is NO.
It is the responsible thing to get checked and that is NONE of the insurances business. You don't have anything for them to treat.

if the test was negative then answer No. Simply taking it doesn't mean you have to answer Yes
