what can i do to make it a night people wont forget?

make sure the decoratons are pretty-no cheap stuff. Have a dark red table cloth w/ gold eating-ware like gold plates, gold lined wine glasses. Another thing you could do is get a DJ-that might be fun.
As a gift, and a name tag (for where people sit) make everyone and ornament by getting different colored ball-shaped ornaments and painting their name on it. You could make them fit each person's personality (eg: my friend is a very colorful, outthere kind of person so if I were to make her an ornament it would be red w/ polka dots)

Im going to say some mixed Drinks (Pina Cooladas, Strawberry daq, etc.), second Egg-nog for the non alchoholic drink, some turkey or steak for real food, and for snack have some orderves and then dessert make some brownies and holiday cookies. For the look get some decorations going, depending on the people who are coming get something good on tv(some sort of Event, not a show cause that will glue them to it), and make sure to get a stripper... jkkk

decorations wise i would say check better homes and gardens they always have awesome ideas. and definitely download all of the xmas music that people love. stick to mostly modern music, but don't forget the old stuff for a little ambiance.

My mom always used to get everyone a lottery ticket to put at their place at the table. I thought it was really cool...I won $10 one year! Other than that, you could get little personalized ornaments maybe to give to everyone. Just be a good hostess, and I'm sure they will all remember what a great time they had at your party.
