It is always possible to transmit herpes, even when you are free from breakouts.

Its true that It can be passed at any time and there are medications out there that help control it and there is talk that there is a medication that now will prevent the spred of the vrise but LET me say some thing so the one who said that she was not a healthy girl BULL ****. That does not mean shes not healthy. I have been living with herpes for 13 years when my sons father gave it to me when I was pregnant. I have only had 6 out breaks in my time and have been luck to have 3 healty children and not passed it to any one including my children. As for being healty I am very healty. I dont really get sick at all. This can be controled if she stays healty and learns what is her trigers. I know what are mine and it makes a big diffrents. Tell her she needs to learn what she was eatting or doing or even if there was more stress in her life befor a out break. These things matter. Track it and learn. Now just incase you deside to take that chance make sure this is some one you want to stay with and understand what you could be getting for the reast of your life. Make sure you talk and keep things open between the both of you. And think long and hard. Its nothing that can kill you and there things out there to help but its not fun eather and it never goes away. They doctors also say that Oril sex is safe maybe you would want to start with that. See how you feel first. Something to thing about.

Not safe at all. Even if she is asymptomatic, (without symptoms) she can still spread it to others. It's called shedding. That is why so many (33 million) people have it. They get it from someone who doesn't even know they have it and got it while they had no symptoms. Then they pass it on to someone else while they are "asymptomatic". The virus can live and hide in your body without you ever even knowing that you have it. Watch out. Ask your doctor if you don't believe me. Stay away from "casual sex" cuz there ain't no such thing.

First off let me say that I think it's great you are still willing to give her a chance knowing she has it. People don't seem to realize that the reactions people get are sometimes worse than actually having it. There is always a chance of passing it even if she doesn't have an outbreak, the chances are just smaller. Remember that it is passed through skin to skin contact, not vaginal fluids.

She will be a carrier for the rest of her life so you will always take a risk with unprotected sex but you are less apt to get them if she is not broke out...good luck!
