Cooking for my family made me abandon my Vegetarian lifestyle - I know this isn't what you expected but there are many people who switch back and forth for family and health reasons. I originally became a veg to lose weight and keep up my energy in a very stressful environment. I still have a veg night 2x a week but serve a regular diet other nights. I never saw veg lifestyle as a full time thing and never had the angst against meat some folks do so it's no big to me either way. Their are pros and cons to both and with all the stuff going on with our food supply - I like to keep my options open.

I have high cholesterol and the only thing that would bring it down was meds. That is with the diet my doctor gave me. Suggesting that I eat lean meats and low fat cheeses and dairy products it was still high. So for over 10 years I have been on meds and finally came upon the video Eating which introduced me to The Rave Diet.

Now its just part of who I am.

Good luck

I'm not really a vegan at all... I've just been cutting back on meat. Not for a moral value, but just because veggies are way healthier for you and taste better as well :)
