ITs not cigarettes or marijuana that's bad for me, but quitting either of them!!!

Poor me decided to quit smoking, and after a month caught it back. Friends made fun ofme, and I said,

"I am quitting right here right now , and if you so much as see me smoke, or smell smoke on me again, kick me hard, and I won't protest."

So here I am in a 40 days 40 nights type scenario, pining away for my dunhill, while my friends keep sniffing away suspiciously . Darn it! If i am ready to ruin my health a lil bit, why are others complaining? It is not as if these guys don't smoke! Ok , they rarely do it, but still, sometimes is not equal to never, right?

And why do i have to deny myself?

BUT______
Both are bad for you, although marijuana is not as bad as tobacco, I feel.

And i start seeing fractals aftr smokin pot. Hallucinations? I see them, perhaps but what is a proper hallucination anyways? i mean, how can i be sure i am hallucinating?

Cigarettes kill millions every year, Marijuana kills a total of 400 (all from either mixing it with other drugs or driving under the influence, marijuana alone has never killed a single person since you can't overdose from it) not to mention that Cigarettes cause many of the diseases that Marijuana is used to cure, such as cancer. Cigarettes also contain thousands of dangerous chemicals that are added to it, while marijuana is grown, dried and then sold with no chemicals added to it. You also get more tar from cigarettes since its not uncommon to find cigarette smokers who go through a pack a day (each cigarette containing 1.5 grams of tobacco) while youd have to look long and hard to find a marijuana user that smokes more than a gram a day (unless hes smoking ****) so marijuana users inhale much less tar. And no, Marijuana does not cause cancer, its used to treat cancer which wouldnt be done if it caused it. So theres no doupt that Cigarettes are much more dangerous than Marijuana. Hope that answers your question :)

In the long run it would be marijuana, yes smoking is bad for you and leads to various life threatening illness, but most people use tobacco when smoking pot also, marijuana has been proved to lead to mental illness, paranoia and many more and i have seen this first hand, stupid people out there think it's OK because it's "natural" but they couldn't be further from the truth

Cigarettes. They are addictive and contain hundreds of chemicals. Most people who smoke, smoke about a pack a day (20). They cause heart disease, cancer, and myriad other diseases.

Pot is not addictive. Most people who smoke use one or two a day. There are no added chemicals (with the possible exception of pesticides used from certain growers).

Granted, drug use has its problems, but as far as long-term physical effects, cigarettes are definitely worse for you.

Cigarettes.

Cigarettes win on deaths caused - 400,000 to 0. See http://druglibrary.org/schaffer/Library/basicfax3.htm

Cigarettes are far more addictive. See the addictive qualities of various drugs at http://druglibrary.org/schaffer/library/basicfax5.htm

Cigarettes win for lung damage. Tobacco causes lung cancer and emphysema. The latest research on marijuana shows that it does not cause emphysema, and that it actually seems to have a protective effect against lung cancer.

Every time someone asks one of these questions, most of the answers come from people who are obviously clueless. You can find a ton of research on the subject at http://druglibrary.org/schaffer Don't accept answers from people who can't provide references for what they say.

A drug is a drug. Marijuana may be bad for you in some way, but cigarettes are legal and that makes them more dangerous (to me).

i'm going to say cigarettes, but i'm not a doctor or nurse.

it is simply because cigarettes have more additives, and *most* people smoke cigarettes more frequently than pot. (i.e. a pack a day v. a joint or two a day)

Neither one of them are great, but I've seen cigarettes kill a LOT more people than marijuana.
