As long as you did not come in contact with any blood you will be fine. HIV doesn't spread thru skin, it spreads thru cuts or open areas. Next time I would suggest wearing gloves!!!

HIV can only be passed via body fluid transfer. While it is definitely not safe to do the procedure you describe with out the proper personal protection, I do not feel you are at risk of HIV or any other blood born pathogen.
I do suggest that you read up on proper medical care techniques and re-evaluate the whys and hows of what you are doing. You don't state why you did this 'finger stick' but it does sound like you might have done so with out the proper training and education. Educate yourself before you try this again.
Good luck and I hope this helps

No if there is no opening fir the virus to enter into your body you can not get HIV. If you are in a profession where you are sticking people be smart and were gloves and get very educated on what can happen and what you can do to prevent it and what to do if somehting does happen. If you are so worried and it is really bothering you get tested for peace of mind but as long as there was no entry way into your body you are safe!
From now own be careful!

Should not be an issue since you were not in contact via blood through an open wound. The HIV virus is actually very fragile and needs direct access or it won't survive. A test would only confirm that you did or did not get it. Given the info you privide...waste of time and money.

Alcohol will not kill the virus. If you did not prick your finger with the lancet than no you have not been exposed. If your skin was intact and did not come in contact with blood than no. HIV from needle sticks are very rare anyway. It can happen but the percentage is very low. Does this person have HIV? I would say your safe. But if having one would ease your mind than go right ahead.

The AIDS virus is not able to pass through your skin. It is transmitted through IV use, sex especially anal intercourse. If you are following correct procedures. You can get a quick and easy test free at most public health agencies. It's just a swab of your inner check - no needles. Make sure the test is anonymous. The test results are given over the phone in response to a number you were given by the agency. They have no record of you other than that number. If they know your identity, they are required by law to report you to authorities
Get the test and you you will have some peace of mind. You should know and be practicing sterile procedure.

You should not be at risk for HIV, if the finger stick went as you described. HIV is transmitted fluid to fluid. If you are still concerned, however, ask your doctor.

HIV cannot be absorbed through the skin! You said you were not stuck by the same needle...didnt even have contact with the blood. You did not get HIV from this person.
