If you don't mind hard work you can get a bus boy's position or dish washers, possibly a prep cook. If you are really lucky, like I was you can start cooking for a large crowd at 15. You just have to be willing to stick your neck out and have alot of confidence in yourself and your ability. DON'T lie about your age-be up front. I have been a dietary manager and I will hire anyone who is dependable and is willing to work hard. Food service is not for those who like to have a paycheck handed to them.
You are on your feet numerous hours, have sometimes VERY rude customers to deal with, and you still have to be courteous to them. Be flexible in your hours and be willing to work weekends and holidays.
Dress the part when you apply and interview. Don't show up in beach wear, when you're at the local restaurant but come in dress casual-dress slacks and a polo shirt and make sure your face and hands especially under the nails are clean. Take a resume of ANYTHING you have done for others-volunteer or otherwise. Smile and good luck

This is in ethnic cuisine? Go around to local retail stores. Most pay around 7 bucks an hour to start. You might have to be a cart pusher though until you turn 16.

Macdonalds, Burger King, Popeys, Boston Market, KFC, etc., mostly any fast food establishment and then there are retail stores as well. If you look, you will find and keep in mind, you have to start somewhere.

If you are still in school, you should be able to get a permit., but I hate to burst your bubble, you are more than likely have to start off with min wage. unless you have a hook up.
