Definitely not! You could end up ruining your son's party! He might think he was eating Skippy!!!...Try making some biscuits with kangaroo cutters or pane sausage meat ( seasoned flour, egg wash and breadcrumbs). When coated with the pane mix cut the shapes with your kangaroo cutter and bake in oven at 200c for approximately 10 to 15 mins or deep fry.
Why not try making a sponge cake....bake 2 large sponges and then make a template of Skippy and place on top of sponges and cut out shape carefully......make some icing or use cream and sandwich sponges together and coat with light topping of icing and decorate accordingly!
Good Luck!

No way I think the best thing to do is find a cookie cutter that is shaped like a kangaroo and make cut outs of them with thin chicken breast and bread them like chicken nuggets and maybe you can do kangaroo cookies too.

Yes you definetely should - Either
He will hate it and become a veggie - nothing wrong with that.
or
He will eat it and Skippy around for the rest of his birthday.
But make sure he knows that Humans are the top of the Food Chain!

Why traumatize the kid for his birthday? He may think u killed Bush Kangaroo. It's a funny thing for an adult party though. Hmmm!

only as long as you actually call it "skippy meat" (never mind the entendre) my fav was cooking venison for my girlfriend once and taking great pleasure in stating it was "Bambi meat" when she asked. She was momentarilly horrifed but she likes food and now she likes venison too.
I'm not sure what to do next though "thumper meat" or veal i'm sure she hasnt got a clue what veal is but i'm not sure if i could be cruel enough to condone it by eating it myself(again).
I'm sorry am I just too cruel?

Why not, if chef Ramsay can kill and eat turkeys and pigs that his children helped to feed and rear what's wrong with a wild kangaroo. That's life, almost every thing that lives is eaten somewhere in the world, but keep you hand off my pet rabbits.
Your decision I'm afraid.

A good curry can disguise the variety of any meat! At least that is what my local restaurant seems to believe ;0)
