Yep, it's true. The two main religions there, Hinduism and Islam, both forbid the eating of different animals, so they pretty much don't have meat there. Most don't eat fish, either, although some of the cultures that live by the ocean eat fish. Even McDonald's has no pig or cow meat- I think they have some kind of meat there for some of the items, but the McDonald's offer mostly vegetarian options.

You read the survey wrong ... it's the majority of the worlds starving population is in India. They don't grow anything you can eat, they worship the cows they do have instead of throwing them on a grill, and they keep breeding ... go figure!

defenately.here you get vegetables cheap while in europe you get non veg cheap
