If it's outside, boil them as long as you please.

But if you have a spouse and boil them in the house, you may never have sex again.

After the "thorough" cleaning, always add an onion or two to soak up some of the smell as they are cooking (along with your other seasonings) and I usually boil (depending on the amount of chitterlings) usually 20 lbs plus, about four or five hours, very slow simmer or until they are tender adding additional water when needed so that they won't burn. That's right "chitterlins" an ethnic delicacy.

I never heard of boiling them. Best done on a slow grill.

you make sure there clean or they will smell because you will be cooking **** then you add garlic,celery,bell pepper as much as u want for flavor and season with your fav. seasonings then you cook for about 3 to 4 hours or until they are completely tender.but watch them and add water as it dissolves cause they can burn and then their ruined if u have some left over try fryng them but make sure u boil them first just coat them in flour & fry their good that way to
