I was sitting down, I ate dinner 1 hour ago. So I felt good, when my heart starts pounding really fast. I actually thought it was going to come out but at the same time I did not experience any pain. This has happened to me a couple of times, not a lot of times but without pain. But this one felt a little bit longer and stronger but without pain. Im still a little bit freaked about this.

This happened to me..just decides to go fast for a minute or two. A doctor friend of mine said to watch my caffeine ( I drink way too much coffee) He kinda implied that it was a normal thing..like your heart wants to stretch it's legs. I haven't had any trouble with it. Next time you go for a physical you could ask about it. Maybe this is a good reason to go get a physical anyway.
Good luck

If it always happens after you eat it's digestive problems, If other times it could be anxiety attack, if you are taking diet pills that will cause it. Of course if it keeps happening you should see a doctor,it's better safe than sorry.

its probably palpitations.I used to get them. I saw a cardiologist and everything was fine. you should see a doc but dont worry about. its probably nothing. if you stress it can turn into a panic attack so chill and see a doc just to be on the safe side. hope this helps.

Hon, this sounds like a panic or anxiety attack....did you experience any other symptoms like a fearful or panicky feeling?...any lightheadnesses?....panic attacks can be quite painless....but hard on the heart.....I think you chould check with a doctor on this...only the doctor can diagnose just what is wrong with you....good luck...

Do yourself a favor and don't panic too much, but you really should see your doctor and tell them about it if this happens often. They'll do an EKG to see what's up.

Please take an ECG and consult a cardiologist. The underlying cause of palpitation has to be found out and proper treatment should be taken.
Please see the web pages for more details on Palpitation and Arrythmias.
