he's been complaining about it for a few months now. He says that the hairs in my vaginal area irritate him. i shave on a regular but when they grow back and we have sex they irritate him. Now we have been away from eachother for a month and it has not gotten better. he is still complaining about it. he thinks that i have a STD. i know that i dont, because i got tested a few months ago and he is my only sex partner and i know that he has no other sex partners. so why is this irritation not going away??? The other reason i think he got irritated alot and it irritated me sometimes to is that after a few months of being together i started not to get really wet when we made love. it would always be really dry and it would be pretty uncomfortable for me sometimes and i think that might be part of the reason why he's got this irritation. but he's been having this for quite a while now and i figured with us not having sex for a while it would just go away. but it hasn't...

Shaving pubic hair regularly results in growth of hair with coarse ends. The friction caused by rubbing of your pubic coarse hair against his penis is what irritates him.

Pubic hair has a purpose. It is not necessary to shave it unless it is for aesthetic purpose. If you and your hubby dont mind your growing pubic hair, it is better not to remove it by shaving. You can trim it from time to time so that during intercourse, your long hairs dont get into your vagina and create problems. I suppose your hubby too has normal pubic hair and doesnt shave it. If he shaves it, you may also feel an irritation similar to what he experiences. (We, myself and my spouse, dont shave our pubes but only trim it when it grows too long. In fact, we find the rubbing of our pubic hair against each other very sexy. Some people dont like pubic hair in their partners during oral sex.)

As for the problem of wetness during intercourse, ask your husband to resort to greater foreplay than at present. You will find a lot of literature on this. Some women reach a wet stage after prolonged foreplay, and if you explain this to your husband, he will surely cooperate. Maybe you have become tense due to his complaints of irritation, and thus unable to secrete your natural body lubrication in time to enjoy sex. Relax, prolong the act, and get full satisfaction.

Why don't you just quit shaving altogether down there for a while and see if it helps.
It sure doesn't hurt, especially in the winter, to give that area down there a break.
BTW, that hair is there for a reason. It helps keep out bacteria and stuff so you may wanna keep some of it there anyway.

Could be many problems.. it could even be that he is allergic to some detergent... or shower soap etc.
I'd go to a doctor and get checked out just so you are comfortable.

It's nothing, don't worry. Buy some lubricant, it works wonders. And you might wanna try getting a wax & surprise him, he might like it!
