I'm not sexually active but I have small (growths?) sprouting down there. (I'm a guy). They resemble acne and can be 'popped' but there is one large one and another that was red and 'popped' but does not look so good...I'm very concerned and highly confused because I'm young and not sexually active. There is no interaction between me and anyone else...what's going on? I really dont want to go to a doctor if possible....

I just thought I'd add, I don't have acne on my face...I use acne medication daily and it works real well. However, I tried it down there and it didn't help..

thanks for the responses.

My guess is you are wearing long johns in the colder weather and then wind up sweating and causing this. If that is not the case, you might want to go to www.WebMD.com or call a doctor.

Peace!

PS - STD = Sexually Transmitted Disease. If you are not sexually active you can not contract one unless you are seriously feeling way guilty over sexual desires or feelings.

Beside acne there are various kinds of dermatitis that could be the cause of your problem. You may want to get an appointment with a dermatologist.

Don't put acne medication down there, it could irritate it and make it worse.

to me it sounds like in grown hairs.

also but do you consitutie sexually active? Have you had oral sex? You can catch almost every STD from it.

I used to get some bumps on mine that resembled whiteheads....I found out it was from using lotion to masterbate then not cleaning it off good. It was clogging the pores. I started washing very well and they went away. Not a diagnosis just a similar experience. Good luck with it.

Acne most likely. Especially if you have it on your face. You probably transferred bacteria to your penis from your face when using the restroom or more likely when you " rubbed one out". Good hygiene should take care of the problem.

Maybe they are hair bumps and if you pop them they can become irritated. Or maybe you are having an allergic reaction to laundry detergent or fabric softener. I think I would go with the first one.

nope, DON'T use Google to decide if you have an STD. it's not that uncommon to have a bit of acne in that area.

most std's that effect you like that will have scabby pimples. clean up and wait a little, if it doens't go away see a doctor. don't use google, it won't tell you much except scare you.
