OMG, you are the PARENT. If you think your child is sick, take her to the doctor. Why would you rely on the opinion of strangers when it comes to the health of your child?

i would if i were you. they want you to return if you even think your child may not be improving as she should, so it's not like you would inconvenience anyone. if i were you i would call them in the morning and tell the nurse or doctor that your doctor is still coughing and everything else that is going on with her and they will tell you if they think she needs to be seen or not. coughing is the last part of a cold to go. if she has pnemonia, you would know it. she would be wheezing loud enough for you to hear regularly, she would be complaining of chest pain, and she would have a fever. she may have bronchitis if she is having trouble breathing or a really gurgly cough...but if all she has is an annoying hacking cough, odds are it's part of the cold or allergies. allergies can weaken her little system and cause her to get a coughing cold, especially this time of the year!my 5 year old gets colds and has a runny nose for weeks at a time, too. go to the store and pick up some medecine called 'simply cough'. i use their medecine called 'simply stuffy' and it works like a charm for me! call the doc in the morning and get some medecine in her system. i'm sure that if she had pnemonia the both of you would be miserable!

Coughing often avoids pneumonia. Does she have pain and fever? If so that could indicate a problem. When my daughter was 8, she had a pain in her abdominal area, I thought she had appendicitis. It was pneumonia.
If you feel concerned, it would probably be wiser to see a doctor again.

you may want to do that just in case. its always to be safe than sorry. i know you care about her, so it wont be over reacting if you take her back. it will just be you making sure your child is safe. which is never a bad thing.
