You're right, it's quite simple to treat:

"Chlamydia can be easily treated and cured with antibiotics. A single dose of azithromycin or a week of doxycycline (twice daily) are the most commonly used treatments. All sex partners must also be treated."

The problem is, there are several treatments, and they all probably have different costs. Aside from azithromycin or doxycycline, it's also possible you'll be prescribed erythromycin or even amoxicillin. What's more, each of these drugs has a different dosage level.

So, it depends on which drug, and what level of dosage, that your doctor suggests -- so it's really hard to estimate. Usually it falls between $40 and $100.

If you call your doctor or pharmacist, you can get the specific cost beforehand. Hopefully it'll be affordable.

Best of luck & happy healing!

A regular doctors office visit is around $150 right now on average. Then there is lab cost. They always want to take a blood and or urine sample. Those are another $70 to $100 a piece, then if you have a pap smear and heoccult, or other tests, go ahead and add another $50 to $100. So it just matters what is done, what you want to get diagnosed. My younger brother is a doctor, and he hates the high costs. They do this because of insurance scams. The insurance company's make everyone pay through the nose. Some offices do offer sliding scales for lower incomes, and payment plans for those who do not have insurance, medicaid or medicare.

you need antibiotics. the cost depends on what kind of insurance you have (or don't have). you should tell your doctor that cost is an issue. if you don't have a doctor, or insurance, the cheapest way is to find a free clinic for low income people and you can probably get treated for free. definitely don't do nothing though. you can end up with much worse problems if you leave it untreated. and tell any people that you have had sexual contact with that you have it. they need treatment as well. good luck.

Antibiotics aren't expensive. Especially if you have insurance. What did your doc prescribe?
