Probably no on the Santa mini dress. Christmas will be over, and I think people will be given the wrong impression by that. It really depnds where you're going. A simple black cocktail dress is probably a good choice.

You can never go wrong with the little black dress or even red dress. Try wearing the Santa dress in the next two weeks and put it up until later. But who knows it may be a good thing to wear just leave the hat off.

You did not specify how old you are. If you are of legal age, and look the part, go sexy classy. Get a little revealing black number and wear that. Use a lot of lace underneath. I think you will get the new year started off just right.
P.S. If you are under 18, ignore the above advice. Get a good pair of bluejeans and a nice top. and NO DRINKING!!!
