If I were you I would wait for my heart monitor results...second I would stop thinking about this until then...third, I would go get a complete physical to put your mind at ease...fourth people always think or make themselves think they are sick, it becomes a mental disorder and you will always feel sick...you have options to note and make good of them, your children need you...

Hello.. Something similar happened to me. My husband took me to the emergency room because I taught I was having a heart attack and I'm only 21 with 2 kids.. Well to make long story short. They did several test and they all came back normal nothing was wrong..As the days went by I kept feeling that I was going to die of a heart attack.. What happened to me was since I had been trough a lot of stress I kind of traumatized my self where every time I was alone I taught I was dying, I would get short of breath, started seeing blurry, wanting to faint and pain in my arm and chest, but once I stop thinking about it or got distracted all of my symptoms would go away. I went to the doctor and she told me that I was getting panic attacks.. and they would go away.. It has been over 6 months already and I don't think about it, but it does come to mind once in a while and i start getting all of my imaginary symptoms.. Well take care hope I was some help.. Wish you the best and Happy holidays.. Keep me updated let me know how your results turn out to be.

I used to be a EKG instructor and know a little about the heart and how it works. It could be a couple of things. 1) It is not actually skipping a beat. It could be PVC (premature ventricular contraction). This is when the ventricles prematurely contract imediately after a normal beat. When this happens there is a pause before the next normal beat. This is called a compensatory pause. The beat before the pause and the next normal beat happen when they are supposed to, but because your heart detected the PVC, it thinks it beat when it was suppoed to, so it waits until the next regular interval to beat.
2) It could be a conduction defect, which I have, which is a blockage of the electrical pathways that cause your ventricles to contract. It generally isn't a complete blockage, but a delay. Both are treatable. Nothing to worry too much about.

im 22 and i get them all the time. they kinda come and go in cycles, there will be days were i consistantly get +10 a minute and some days i never get any. caffeine/stress/anxiety/lack of sleep tend to be common causes, i cant really figure out why i get them either but i do. i just started getting them one day when i was probably about 18 and ive had them since. if they evaluate you and say you are fine, dont let them scare you. theyre annoying and scary at first but once you get used to them you dont think anything of them. so yeah... the vast majority of cases are harmless, so wait and see what your doc says but im guessing you probably dont have much to worry about.
one thing that ive found that has greatly reduced them is excercising regularly- i seem to get a lot less episodes if im swimming and jogging a couple times a week than when i got inactive for several weeks

There are several different types of "skipped beats". There are the ones that originate in the top part of the heart, called premature atrial contractions(PAC's). These are annoying but benign(not harmful). Then there are those that originate in the bottom part of the heart, called premature ventricular contractions(PVC's). These are more harmful, but usually only if they bunch together, with long runs that most likely will make you feel faint. There are also many other heart rhythms, but yours are probably the PAC's, that is why they are telling you it's nothing to worry about. Ask your Dr. if that is what they are.

Rest assured that what is happening to you is totally normal.
You are having palpitations. I have them all the time, and already went through all the tests.
It's hard not to worry when you are having them, but then that actually increases them. Catch 22.
Anyway, in my case, it was found that I have Mitral Valve Prolapse, which is very common and not harmful in the vast majority of cases.
Something like 40% of the population has palpitations at some points.
if you are having a bad go of them, it helps to have a really big gulp of cold water. It stimulates the vagus nerve in the neck, and usually 'resets' the rhythm.

If you had a monitor on you and you insist you had missed beats yet the doctor said you were OK, then what do you think it was, a conspiracy? do you think someone is out to get you?
Why don't you make an appointment to a cardiologist and see for yourself what he thinks, get a stress test and see what the real problem is.
