Do you mean "Scabies"?
Scabies is transmitted readily, often throughout an entire household, by prolonged skin-to-skin contact with an infected person (e.g. bed partners), and thus is sometimes classed as a sexually transmitted disease. Spread by clothing, bedding, or towels is a less significant risk, though possible.
Animal scabies (Sarcoptic mange) not infrequently attacks human beings, especially the owners of affected lap dogs or cats, and grooms attending mangy horses. There is no incubation period, the disease occurring immediately the parasite is transferred to the human skin. The burrows characteristic of human scabies are not found, the eruption being a small red popular rash which affects the arms or other parts which have been in contact with the infected animal. Sometimes the eruption is very profuse and widespread. The best place to find the acarus (a genus of arthropods, including mites) is the point of elbow. When the source of infection is detected and cut off the disease tend to die out of itself, but treatment with benzyl benzoate or gamma benzene hexachloride should always be instituted.
Please see the web pages for more details and images on Scabies.

Scabies is an infestation of the skin with the microscopic mite Sarcoptes scabei. Infestation is common, found worldwide, and affects people of all races and social classes. Scabies spreads rapidly under crowded conditions where there is frequent skin-to-skin contact between people, such as in hospitals, institutions, child-care facilities, and nursing homes.
How did I get scabies?
By direct, prolonged, skin-to-skin contact with a person already infested with scabies. Contact must be prolonged (a quick handshake or hug will usually not spread infestation). Infestation is easily spread to sexual partners and household members. Infestation may also occur by sharing clothing, towels, and bedding.

first of all, you mean scabies. they are like little body lice that get under your skin and they are transmitted by skin to skin contact with various people [in crowded situations] also, being nasty helps the spread. so wash up!!

i can't explain what it is. but i know it's kind of like a rash and you get it around your ankles and wrists or something like that. i just really remembered the scary part about it is if someone has it, you can get it just by sharing clothes with them. or sheets or towels. and of course skin to skin contact. so next time you go to the store and try on clothes, maybe think twice?

you mean scabbies? I think their like genital lice or something. Genital lice can be transmitted by sitting on public toilet seats. I've been scared to go to a public bathroom ever since.
