It's called VENTRICULAR STANDSTILL caused by a Heart Block. You need to be on a 24 Holter (telemetry) monitor and be discussing this with a cardiologist if you aren't alleady. 13 seconds is TOO long. You may need a permanent pacemaker if this has happened more than once. Also, look at what medications your on to see side effects.

Mine stops on average for 13 seconds every time I fall asleep. But then again I have severe sleep apnea. There are other causes that would cause your heart to stop as well. If this is you, you need to get checked out by a physician.
