# 1 - You should be careful at ANY age. I had a friend who died of a heart attack at age 22.

Risk factors for heart disease:
1. Family history - Any heart disease or death from heart disease in male first-degree relatives before age 55 or female first-degree relatives before age 65?
2. Cigarette smoking - Current or have quit for less than 6 months?
3. High blood pressure - top number greater than 140 OR bottom number greater than 90 OR if you are on medication to control it
4. High cholesterol - LDL greater than 130, HDL less than 40 or total greater than 200. Also if you are on medications to help control it. OR if you have never been tested, it's considered a risk factor
5. High blood sugar levels
6. Obesity - BMI greater than 30 OR waist measurements greater than 102 cm for men, 88 cm for women (measured at belly button)
7. Sedentary lifestyle - less activity means higher risk

Now, what to do? Exercise (especially things that get your heart rate up and burn fat, like walking, jogging, tennis, swimming, playing with the kids, etc), watch what you eat, and regular check ups with your doctor!

Hope this helps!!!

What to do to avoid it? plenty of information available on that subject
.Now the other question is more interesting, is it hereditary?
If you do have a heart attack, you get a list of standard questions:-do you smoke? is about the first on the list' ho much booze do you drink? are you overweight, do you get plenty of exercise, then some where along the list is your question, has any one else in your family ever had heart attack? The answer you give to the first questions will receive the response - Stop smoking, stop drinking, stop eating, get more exercise and finally "Ah its hereditary"
Now my family have never had anyone that suffered a heart attack, I did, does that mean because I did that my children are likely to suffer heart attacks?? I don't think so !
It was never determined what caused mine, certainly none of the above, and not stress (I don't know the meaning of the word).
I haven't really answered your main question but just based on my own experience I would say very doubtful.

Immune to the heart attack or immune to the aspirin? Nope to both, doctors want us to take a very low dose of aspirin 81mg a day it helps to make the blood not so stickey so it will pass by the narrower openings of the veins and vessels. It has NOT helped me for the past 4 heart attacks that I have had this year but I keep taking it anyway maybe its has helped stop the other ones that I don't know of??? About the allergic thing I don't know but check with your doctor before starting any treatments. Some people even over 40 should not be taking aspirin at all.

Yes it is. But you can do a lot to avoid it. First of all you have to reduce stress from your life. Practise Yoga, Meditation. Keep your diet under control. Adopt a low fat, high protein, high fibre diet. Reduces oily, fried, sugary foods. Incorporate good exercise regimen. Regular cardiovascular exercise for atleast 20 mins four times a weekj is a must. U have to be careful right from your Twenties as the risk of heart attack has increased even in this age group due to stress. The risk is less for females but they have the same risk as of men after Menopause.

Even the best plans can fail. Best to keep a good routine of diet and exercise. Stay as close to your Target weight as possible. And most of all don't worry about it. The worrying will kill you faster than anything at McDonalds. Practice Tai Chi or Yoga or anything that will give you peace. Like Church. It is a fact that people that go to Church live an average of 7 years longer than people who don't. Stay away from Negative people it is a fact they can shorten your life by 7 years. So right there is 14 more years! Not kidding! Add regular exercise and get 7 more years! Theres 21 years! I think you are getting the picture :) Good luck!

heart attack can b heriditary as well as non heriditary. genetically, some ppl have high cholesterol or fat circulating in the blood.. these can block ur heart vessels n lead to heart attack. diet also can lead to increase in a certain type of fat molecule known as VLDL, these r bad fat n can lead to heart disease, there also good fat known as HDL found in olive oil that reduces cholesterol level. be careful with the type of fat u take, avoid processed food, n also margerine. butter is better :) margerine n fried food has a lot of trans-fat which is also injurious. i would advise u to eat oats as it can help u bring cholesterol level down, together with vegetables n fruits. start an active life, exercise, reduce stress from now onwards. n there won't b a problem

hypertension is genetic. uncontrolled hypertension can lead to heart attackor stroke. it is best to start early by eating the right food, stopping smoking, etc. a healthy lifestyle is definitely the way to go. think of high blood pressure as the sum total of what you do to your body starting from high school.
