This can be caused by many things, Right side could be Gall Bladder Attack( hurts in the rib area or Lung Issues such as pneumonia or Plearal effusion (stabbibg pains on the upper right side or lower right side). Doesn't necessarily mean heart attack. I had shooting pain on my right side once with flu like symptoms and some back pain and found out after several tests it was my Gall Bladder.

if it is deffinately on the right side then you may probably rule out a heart problem, it could be any number of things. like pancreatic problems, gall stones, lung infection or clotting issues. i reconmend you go to your gp now or to a&e, they will do some routine tests like, ecg and bloods maybe a scan. good luck.

could be anything from heart attack, to "i'm a couch potato and i just decided to go swimming for 2 hours one day so now my pecs are hurting" or really bad stomach acid, or just a side effect from a cough. i'd see a doctor, or dial 911, especially if unsure.

I get that too. Could be stress or indegestion. Either way best thing is to go to your doctor as it could be a number of things and you'd need to get it checked out.

what type of pain (stabbing, restrictive, throbbing etc)?
Where in your chest (top middle bottom left right)?
How long for (minutes, days, hours, weeks)
Surely you don't expect any answers by simply typing in "chest pain"?
Or was that all you could type before you had a heart attack~?
