an average normal RESTING heart rate is between 60 -100 beats per minute.
You have to make sure that you took a resting heart rate, because if you had been walking around or doing any other physical activity, you're heart rate would be faster because your heart is responsible for pushing blood around your body.
I would try taking your pulse yourself (see the below website for instructions) just make sure you are sitting still for about 10 minutes before.
According to the website: tachycardia is the name for a pulse greater than 100, in an adult (I don't know what age is considered adult though, to them)
If you are concerned, ask your parents about the heart condition that you have, and tell them that you are interested and want to know about it.
good luck

Take your own pulse, after you've been at rest for 1/2 an hour, not just finsihed a long walk. Put your fingers on the inside of your wrist. Wait till the second hand on a clock gets to one of the 15 min points & start counting heart beats until the second hand gets to the next quarter on the clock. Multiply this number by 4.
you can also count for 6 seconds & multiply by 10.
As to 114 beats/min. That's not at all bad if you just finished exercising, as in taking a long walk. Don't waste money on a machine to do something as easy as taking your pulse. They're too prone to false readings & it's too easy to do urself!

Honey, that was a blood pressure machine. The average adult heart rate is 90 beats per minute. It is supposed to be higher in children. Given how active you are, I'm sure you are right where you are supposed to be. Do yourself a favor and don't use those machines again if your going to get all freaked out about it. Stress will cause your blood pressure to rise. As soon as you calm down, it will be fine.

no its not . the heart rate goes up and down all day long.
in addition you may have not used the device correctly . to use the blood pressure monitor you need to roll up your sleeve expose a bear arm put the bear arm in the cuff making sure that the clothes you pushed up are not squeezing you . remain still do not talk. best not to have friends around watching and you should record the numbers on the cards provided test yourself about 10 times at various times of the day . the test works best if you are consistent in your activity level prior to taking it . so don't run to the machine one time and another day walk slowly instead walk at a normal pace to the machine relax and take the test as i have written record the answers on your card each time . show the results of the ten test to the pharmacist and he or she will assist you in determining if you need to take any further action in relation to the results.
i hope this information was of help to you .

If you are in all of those sport you must have had a yearly physical requried by your school district, and they would have picked up any illregular HR and BP.
The store BP cuff is not all that accurate, depending did you run to the chair. But, to be on the safe side, tell your mom so she can follow up with your family physician.

60-80 BPM is normal for a person at rest. If you walked or ran to the store that would raise your heart rate.

Blood Pressure machines in stores are usually innaccurate - my doctor said they are useless. See your doctor if you are really worried, but it doesn't sound like you should be.
