Diabetes can't disappear unless you develped it during pregnancy, although there are some web sites that claim to have a cure. Maybe you could be in a honey moon period where your pancreas has started producing insulin again (if so, sorry but it won't last long). If you didn't have diabetes, 35 units of insulin would have probably caused extreme hypos or might have even killed you, so I don't think they got it wrong.

Your case sounds really interesting - the only thing that I can think of is that maybe you had a virus or something similar that temporarily stopped you from producing insulin. Never stop taking insulin without the advice of a dr, but if you don't feel ill now and have had extensive tests by your dr maybe you should just be grateful for being so lucky! :) Really it'd be good if you could find out about what's happened incase it comes back but also incase you really do hold some useful information that could help to lead to a cure for the rest of us. If your dr is no use try emailing your story to someone at JDRF (www.jdrf.org.uk) and telling them that you'd like to see one of their research drs to see if you can be of any help - who knows - it's very unlikely but think of all the people whose lives you'd be changing if you did help to develop a cure - we'd all be v grateful. :)

Many common natural remedies are claimed to have blood sugar lowering properties that make them useful for people with or at high risk of diabetes. Learn here https://tr.im/qmAPs

A number of clinical studies have been carried out in recent years that show potential links between herbal therapies and improved blood glucose control, which has led to an increase in people with diabetes using these more 'natural' ingredients to help manage their condition.

Certainly see a physician to discuss this further. Not the tpye of thing that can be answered here. Need to learn more about your type of Diabetes. If you Diabetes Mellitus (Type 1) you cannot discontue the use of synthetic insulin.

Keep seeing your doctor; diabetes doesn't just disappear. Given the seriousness of your condition in the past, you must monitor your condition closely and don't take chances with your health.

I would also suggest that you see a well-reputed Naturopath who specializes in treatment of diabetes; statistically diabetics have a better survival rate if they see a qualified Naturopath as well as a conventional doctor than if they just see a doctor alone.
