I had broken up with my first intimate(always had unprotected sex) partner and stayed separated for 8 months. during that time I slept with someone else at times unprotected. I went back with my ex but before being intimate i went and got tested supposedly for everything, they said everything was okay. After a year and a half of being back with my ex(my first) i had an outbreak and it was diagnosed as herpes. My ex went to get tested and told me it was negative. my doc said it must have been form him(that even if it doens't show in the blood yet he should get tested after three months). we ended in bad terms so when i asked him to show me the results he said he doesn't have to he is negative and that was it( he sounds so sure of it like GOd spared him). I contacted the guy i had been with during the 8 months he said evntually he will get tested but that he doubts it because he now has a girlfriend who is pregnant. please let me know your opinion who do u think i got it from?

Statistically, it's more likely to be your ex, as primary outbreaks USUALLY occur within a few weeks of infection, and ALMOST ALWAYS (but not always) within the year and a half you mention. It doesn't sound like he had a blood test for HSV antibodies, as he would have been able to show you a piece of paper with the results if he had.

But I would emphasise that the important thing is, as much as possible (and I know it's hard), to let go of this issue. You need to concentrate on getting through the emotions you're surely going through.

Good luck :)

ok, here goes. You will never know. The good news is that as a woman you will have a much better chance of finding a partner to love who won't run screaming when you tell him that you have herpes. A single guy with herpes might as well move into the leper colony!

My money is on the boyfriend who won't show you the negative results. If I were negative and you were concerned, I would show you my results.

Condoms from here on out, should have been from the start. Find some support groups on the internet; you'll feel a lot better talking with folks with herpes. They've dealt with the emotional baggage and can help.

It sucks and I'm sorry that you have to deal with this, but try to take a positive constructive approach as soon as possible. You don't want this to define your life and your personality. It's not the end of the world; just a burdensome chronic disease.

I am Sorry to hear that but beleive me trying to figure out who gave it to who its not gonna really matter, if you have it u need to go get them frozen one treatment at a time and also u might get lucky it might just be warts, a couple of freezes and they are gone for good. but for herpes it can take up tp a year for them to even show because they go away and come back and some people dont ever notice them, with me from experience I started dating this guy well then we started having sex and not to go into detail but I stared feeling these bumps and I asked him about them he said Oh I have always had them so I beleived him then I married him like 2 years later I got like 3 bumps between my butt and vagina went to the clinic and they tested the fluid in them and thank god they were just warts three treatments and they were gone for good, so u need to make sure if it is herpes simplex 1 or herpes simplex 2 , simplex 2 is harder to get rid of than 1 but now warts u can get lucky and get rid of them for good.. So anyways dont worry about who gave them to you just dont sleep with them anymore and next time make the guy get checked before u sleep with him I know thats easier said than done but it might be worth it because you know that the male ego is not gonna break, And They are not just gonna come out and say oh honey by the way I have AIDS etc...... Hope I Helped, Tina

It's doesn't matter if the girlfriend is pregnant or not all that matter is if he have the disease he could pass it to his girl friend and the baby if he doesn't get check. They could at less protected the baby if he give it to the mother. And the other Boyfriend need to show you the people,He may have the disease as well and give it to you. Or Both guys could have it,there been cases like that.

Do you have coldsores? It is possible to give it to yourself by touching genitals after touching your lips if there is an outbreak.
