I get blurry vision sometimes when I wake up or in the middle of the day, my eyesight is very bad, my eyes get irritated a lot, if I don't eat then I start fainting and I am talking about like even if I wait a little bit before waking up I faint, I have been getting thirsty WAY more than I used to, I have been losing weight and I am close to underweight, my family has some history of diabetes, I have had a blood test where they tested for diabetes but it was negative, but it wasn't a fasting test and I had waffles and crackers before the test, I get tired easily, I seem to be going to the bathroom more than usual.....? Does it sound like diabetes?

It does sound like Diabetes. Go to the doctors and get a fasting test done, and don't eat before like 10.00pm the night before the test (Get the test done in the morning)
If it is, its not the end of the world, you can control it or get medication and get it sorted.
Good Luck - Hope it's not Diabetes
Merry Christmas

Your family probably has Type 2 diabetes, which is more common along family lines and it associated with lifestyle and usually overweight people. You said you were close to underweight, which would be Type 1 diabetes, where your body does not make insulin. The test that your doctor did would have come back positive if you had Type 2 diabetes. The blood test was looking for insulin in your blood, which you must have had if it was negative. You may want to see your doctor and talk about insulin resistance. Your body may not be using the insulin properly and your doc would put you on a specific diet where you would count carbs.

did your doctor check your blood iron. Eat..... even though u are not diabetic
u should be eating . lack of food will cause your blood sugar to drop and that is why u r fainting and having blurred vision. diabetes is in my family too, and even thought I am not diabetic I too will get weak and dizzy if I don't eat. low blood sugar is just as dangerous as being too high. You should see if they will do a proper test to determine if u r diabetic or not. Don't take any chances.

If the test your doctor had you do was a HgbA1C, you do not have to be fasting and it is an accurate test. Find out if that was the test you had done and find out what the actual result was. If you aren't feeling well, you need to go back to the doctor regardless of whether or not your blood test was "normal".

These could be symptoms of anaemia too. Blood check is necessary. This is probably not diabetes. Heres why...you had waffels before the bood check yet the report was within normal limits. On the other hand it could even be symptoms of low blood glucose level.

It's possible, but please go to your doctor for an actual test to see if you are. If you are, they will help you get the treatment you need.
I hope it's not, good luck!
