Canada and the US have many similarities as far as the music and TV goes, but there are some differences. For example, the US does not usually have, as far as I know, YTV (which is a kid's channel), or Much Music (which is the MTV equivalent). In my experience, Canada has just about everything the US does, and then some, as far as TV goes.

In music, the mainstream bands and artists are about the same, but there are tons of mainstream Canadian bands and artists that no one in the US has heard of. Also, sometimes the popularity of certain artists differs, even if both countries know of the artist.

Canada has exactly the same music and tv as the US but the difference is that here in Canada we have a rule called Cancon where they have to show Canadian commercials Also if the show is being shown on a Canadian and american channel the show will get Simulcast onto the American Chasnnel so the Canadian commercials will be there

Yes, but each area has it's own local news station, commercials etc. Plus because of the different time zones, some shows will come on earlier or later. Also, some areas have a larger radio network b/c of the size of the city/population..

well it actually depends.. i live in windsor ontario, and i get alot of american tv shows, and my boyfriend lives in the states (michigan) andhe doesnt get any canadian tv shows.. but alot of the music is the same also...

who's "us". You're probably american, right? well it depends on the region. We get a lot of american channels (NBC, CBS, Fox, CNN) etc.
