My husband has been diagnosed with severe anemia. His doctor told him to eat liver, spinach and iron pills. The pill can make your poo dark or black so do not be alarmed. He did this for 3 months and is back to normal now. If you are anemic, you will become winded very easily after minimal physical exertion so be careful.

First off, I don't know for a fact that you have anemia and if you do I still don't know what type of anemia you have. And since no one else here knows this either, why are these people suggesting you take this or eat that?
Fatigue can be caused by many things and is not automatically justification for a diagnosis of any type of anemia. Besides, if you'd been diagnosed by a health care provider once upon a time, you'd already know what you should be taking and how much.

Everyone is saying take iron and that's good, but don't go too nuts with it or you'll get constipated among other problems. Green leafy veggies, lean red meat, beans and lentils, and if you can find it at your local health food store, buy some hemp hearts to sprinkle on your cereal in the morning. Stay away from coffee and pop, drink milk, juice, and water instead.

Over the counter iron pills. I'm a nurse. Ask the pharmacist which ones are easier on the stomach (there are many different ones). Also you need to take them early in the morning before you eat and take with water. If you don't take one in the morning before you eat, then skip until the next day. They can give you a belly ache if you take them during the day. Take care. Kina

Your Doctor should have advised you. If you don't have one maybe you have a free clinic nearby and can have them diagnose you. There are many reasons one can be anemic, some can be very serious and you should get medical opinion.
Here is some reading on a few (but not all) of the causes).
