Diabetes is a disease of the endocrine system where the pancreas does not produce the insulin the body needs. You don't "get it" by eating veggies. Although fresh veggies are healthy, you need a balanced diet that includes all the foods from the food pyramid.

Eating veggies and fresh fruit is always good for you. I do however notice my blood sugar go up when I eat certain things such as Tomatoes rippened on the vine and fresh fruit in the summer. But none of them caused my diabetes. Just eat a good balanced diet low in carbs and you will be fine.

I wouldn't think so, although some veggies like potatoes, beets, etc. have a lot of sugar in them. You couldn't get diabetes from eating vegs, but if it is inherited by you from family history, you may not be able to eat certain vegs & even fruits.

if that's all you eat, probably not. I saw a thing on the Internet where these people ate raw food for 30 days and the diabetes went away....they didn't have to take any medication because their sugar was normal.

Normally Diabettes don't come from what you eat, if you have it, starchy vegetables must be highly rationed like potatoes, peas etc as well anything else starchy..it raises blood sugar.
