Pneumonia is inflammation of and/or fluid in the lung. You cannot get this by simply being in the cold. Moms say "put your coat on or you'll catch pneumonia" because the cold virus and bacteria that can make you sick with things like pneumonia can live on inanimate objects longer in the cold/winter - which is why people are sick more often in the winter. Heat "kills" bacteria - which is why your body makes itself a fever to get better.

Definitely. Dress warmly! But I mean if you're really active and stay warm.. then you should be okay. But if you are wet and you come inside, make sure you change your clothes-- that's when you get sick-- it is so bad to stay in wet clothes.. so make sure you change
