There are clinical laboratory tests that can look at glucose and see what your glucose level was months before but for an infection the answer is no. Chlamydia like any infection does have a starting point and I would use the last few sexual encounters you have had as the starting point. I would also tell those partners that they may have chlamydia and they should be treated.

Generally Chlamydia is harmless if caught early on in the infection - the longer it has been in your body the greater the potential for damage.

I would discuss this with your physician and see what his clinical opinion is. It is too broad of a question to answer here.

No, there isn't anyway of knowing. I asked this very same question to a nurse at the GUM clinic. Her answer? When you try to get pregnant you will know if you experience any complications with your fallopian tubes if there is any damage. There's no need to worry about "how long" because once it's treated, it's gone.
You won't know if your fertility is affected until the time comes. Don't worry.
Or, if the other reason is because you have a partner and would like to know if he/she gave it to you. Don't bother. It's not worth wasting your time blaming someone else just be careful and always use a condom when having sense with someone who's sexual history you don't know.

No, but treatment is important once you find you have it. With each person, their signs and symptoms vary so it is difficult to tell how long you have had this outbreak.

Please be treated and abstain from sex during the treatments.

dont think so just that you have it and you are supposed to let everyone you have had sex with. (unless you have regular check ups and then go back to a clear one) if not tell the people its the responsible thing to do

No .. as it can lay dormant in women with no symptoms..it is the men that get them and should let there partners know...if you think you may have it get checked as it can stop you having children

they can determine the amount of damage, but not the period of time you had it. however, the dr may make an educated guess based on the amount of damage done.
