I didn't want to hit him and cut my hand with his blood. He was saying he was going to F my wife and mother, and I just yelled back, but feel like I am not a man now for not punching his lights outs! What should I have done?

You did the right thing. He could have been suffering from some sort of mental illness. You should call the police though.

I think you acted like a real MAN who was in total control of your own actions, especially for someone who must have been under real pressure listening to him speak about your family that way! You can always know what really is in the heart of a person when they are under extreme pressure, It's like a sponge.....when you squeeze a sponge real tight, whatever it is full of will come out! As for you, when the pressure was on you, COURAGE & STRENGTH came out!!!!
If I was your wife or your mother I would be very PROUD of you!!!
The person who done this to you, was obviously acting childish! . It's almost sad for him, he aparently has some issues he needs to deal with, & who knows, maybe you're reaction to him was an example to him as to how he should behave. (Even though he probably would never admit it, but your reaction towards him will always be in his memory & if he is wise he will work towards your example!

Just walk away. The cops will pick him up soon. He'll get 3 hots and a cot and then be back on the street in a day or so. Pretty sad.

Just ignore him, additionally if he did bite you, your chances of getting HIV would have still been low, at that point I would have gone to the ER if he did, and let them know the scenerio, HIV Infection can be prevented with a therapy of treatment if you get medical attention within 2 hours of possible infection. Its a painful process, but just a heads up on that.

If someone approached me and told me that they were going to bite me, I'd run away as fast as I could. If he had TRIED to bite me, I would've acted in self-defense and KICKED the LIVING SH!T outta him, and then called the cops. Unfortunately, in America, the Freedom of Speech portion of the Constitution protects Captain Hobo's right to say what ever he wants to about your wife and Momma, but it DOES NOT afford him the clearance to assault someone.

Report him to the police. Hes a dangerous person who does not need to be walking the streets terrorizing people. Whether or not he has HIV, hes way out of line. Its like pre-meditated murder.They lock those kind up you know and thank God they do!!! Someone there will beat his @ss just for general purpose-something to do!!
