What do you mean 'traced"?? Do you mean that there is a trace of glucose in your urine?? Do you ever check your blood sugar?? Whether of not you can control by diet depends on the type of diabetes and the severity of it. Most Type II diabetes can be controlled by diet. It is also very important to get regular exercise. But you need to see a doctor and get a full work-up. Is there diabetes in your family???

It all depends on what type of Diabetes you have. Type 1 is the childhood type (although children are now getting Type 2 as well now.) Type 1 is where the pancreas doesn't produce insulin to regulate sugar so an injected insulin is used. And a long with diet and exercise many Type 1 diabetes live a long and full life. Type 2 is more common in adults and the obese. This is where the pancreas still produces insulin but it's not used by the body effectivly. For most with this type of diabetes it can me controlled with diet and excercise alone. There are however some cases where oral forms of medications are used as well and in some cases where medicine is no longer effective insulin may need to be used. This is just general knowledge and first hand experience I have had with this disease. My younger brother has Type 1 diabetes and my father has Type 2 diabetes and they are both on insulin. It is best to consult with your physician for the best treatment plan for you. Hope this helps.

If someone has autoimmune Type 1 diabetes, the non-preventable kind that usually (but not always) develops in children, then they MUST replace the insulin they no longer make or they will go into a coma and die. There are no exceptions to this rule, no matter what stories people post on the web.
If you have Type 2, the common kind related to lifestyle and being overweight, then yes, you often can control it with diet if caught early and you make the effort to really change your habits.
There is a RARE form of Type 2 diabetes called MODY (Maturity Onset Diabetes of Youth), which presents in young and thin people, but it is not autoimmune Type 1. It is considered a genetic defect with the insulin secreting chemical pathway, and some use diet and exercise for control, while others need insulin, just like Type 1 diabetics. There are specific genetic tests available for MODY.

Yes about the diet part. If you have type 2 diabetes in your family then you should practice a healthly livestyle of whole grains, fruit/veg. and exercise. but then again so should everyone. If this someone in your family is type 1 then you don't need to be as concerned.

I don't know what you mean by "traced". Diabetes is caused by the inability of the pancreas, actually only a portion of it, to produce insulin. Insulin in required by the body to regulate blood sugar. If there is too much, you get Diabetes, too little, your'e Hypo-glycemic. The effects of not taking regular insulin supplements, IE shots or oral insulin, can be catastrophic, if you are diagnosed with Diabetes. If you are young, and are diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes, it is possible to control by diet. My mother did this with my brother. At 10 he was diagnosed, 3 years of weighing his portions, and constant vigil, she was successful in beating it. He is 52 and never took a shot in his life. But, this was caught early, and we were lucky. I have a friend who has lost an eye, 4 toes, and has had 2 kidney transplants due to mis-management of her Diabetes. It all depends on the circumstances. Good Luck. E-mail me if you want, msmaryanne3@yahoo.com

You mean there are traces of diabetes.?
You have had enough of sweets all through your life so far!
Think of sweets as poison. Take diabetes, seriously.
Consult a good doctor only. Its not something to take risks! remember!

yes we can control it diet. i am diabetic and i do it everyday. the key is the carbs low carb diet. see a dietician to help you plan your meals. eat 35-45 carbs per meal but no more than that eat only lean meats. fish and chicken baked. vegetables are better steamed and be careful with the strachy veggies. such as potatoes and corn pasta beans. you can have wheat bread. if u have a snack make sure it is 15 carbs and 2-3 per day pending on your sugar levels. hope this helps. mystical

No. If you have type 2, you may be able to but if you are not strict, no. You do not want to chance it. You can end up with legs cut off, going blind, and even death. My grandson has type 1. He uses the pump and eats whenever and anything he wants. No more shots. He was 7 when he got the pump. Before the pump, he had to eat at certain times and eat certain amount of carbs, not to mention those awful shots. It hurt me so much to give him shots but there was no choice. He is so much happier now.
