Just wondering if anyone has tasted any bugs when they were little.

Accidentally when i was a kid. They taste bitter and spicy, like something zapped your tongue. It's not particularly pleasant.

I took a bite of an apple and ate half an ant. It was sour tasting.

yup, Chocolate covered ants they were tasty but I had a hard time getting by the fact I was eating an insect but if you are chocoholic you survive eating the ant part.
I was told ants are high in protein like most insects so they are good for you.

I used to eat canned ants with my rice porridge - no prize for guessing where they're from. Tastes like.... ants!

Ants contain formic acid which makes them sour.
I have heard them described as 'nutty' or 'milky' too.
Never tried them myself and never will. Gack.

i have eaten sugar coated ants (big ones) and chocolate covered grasshoppers. actually they are both very tasty.
