No, genital warts cannot be cured. the best thing you can do is stay away from sex when having a breakout. Genital warts are a herpes virus, and there is no cure. sorry. Go to the doc, they may have something to help keep the breakout under control a bit, unfortunatly you will always have this problem.

Genital warts are generally caused by HPV (human papillomavirus) and can not be cured. They can be treated with medicine and/or medical procedures if they do not go away. It is extremely important that he get it checked out by a medical doctor. 90% of genital warts are unlikely to have cancer causing potential, but there is that remaining 10% that are very dangerous and are a common cause of cervical cancer in women. It is extremely easy to transmit warts to a partner.

Yes there are cures. There are self applied treatments such as podophyllotoxin(Condyline,Wartec)which is not recommended for internal warts or for extensive warts that are more than 10 square centimeters. Then there's Imicuimod cream (aldara) which enhances the bodies immune response to the infection. Some warts dissapear over time but then some grow in size aswell. If you cannot find the meds, get your friend to see a gynocologist for inhouse treatment.

Go see the doctor ASAP.
How are genital warts treated?
A clinician puts a cold liquid chemical on the warts to remove them.
You may need to come back more than once to finish the wart treatment.
You may need longer treatment if you have HIV. The warts may increase in size and number more quickly. Tell your clinician if you are HIV positive.
Will the warts come back?
Warts may return, even after treatment, this is because the virus stays in your skin once you are infected. You can pass the virus to your sex partners during vaginal or anal sex, even when you don't have warts you can see.

nope, there is not a cure for genital warts (although, I think if they are caused by HPV, there might be). However, there are medicines that can help make them better. I would tell him to talk to his doctor.
